Gabe De Guzman's First Birthday
Speaking of baby boom, most of our close friends from high school are now joyful and excited parents.
Last April 12th, we celebrated the first birthday of Paulo and Giselle's little boy, Gabe. He had a wonderful barnyard-themed party!
Just wanna share with you photos taken from that day:

Pre-Owned Clothing Sale This Coming Weekend
I would like to remind you all on this weekend's garage sale that will take place in my home.
Please take note of the selling time:
May 3, Saturday, 11am to 7pm
May 4, Sunday, 1pm to 8pm
There are slight changes on the items that will be sold. We will NOT be selling our home items anymore. There are a couple of nice ladies who are moving into our apartment when we leave.
However, we have tons of clothes, shoes and bags that we are selling. If you are looking for pieces of clothing at bargain prices, please come and take a look!
Please spread the word to your family and friends. Hope to see you this weekend!

Dinner at Raymond and Tammy's Home
We had a lovely time over dinner at Raymond and Tammy's home Saturday night. Tammy is one of my good friends from high school and one of my favorite seat mates back in sophomore year.
When she went on a student exhange program in our senior year, we used to write each other letters when she was in Virginia.
Even though it was a busy weekend for us (we didn't know if we could make it up to the very last minute), I really wanted to go because this was the last chance for us to spend time with my high school friends. Mon and Tammy were also set on going on their long overdue honeymoon.
Mon and Tammy's home was spacious and lovely. So perfect for their newlywed life. In fact, it is perfect for the rest of their lives together!
Dinner was potluck and the food was delicious. I am hungry again just thinking about it.
Will miss my friends on our 8-month trip to the United States. Will be missing out on a fun Christmas get-together and other important events.
Incidentally, I received a couple of big news that evening -- one GOOD and one BAD. The good news is Nat and Willyn are engaged! They are set to get married on January 24th of next year.
The BAD news is actually not just bad but devastating. We found out that the older brother of our good friend from high school got shot five times in front of his three children. He immediately passed away from this gruesome act.
The reason I am talking about this is to ask all of you to PAUSE, spend the next minute or two praying for the soul of her brother. Please also pray for the life of the family that he left behind. They need comfort, encouragement, and the most of all, that they may, all the more, cling on the love and mercy of Our Father.
Sorry to end this on a sad note. I really want all of us to stand in prayer. Thank you.

Mark This Date: April 26th
I am re-posting this from Joey Bonifacio's blog entry because some of you might be interested in participating. By the way, Mr. Bonifacio is the senior pastor of Victory Christian Fellowship at The Fort -- the church that we are a part of.
It's less than 10 days, 9 to be exact, for Victory Fort's first batch of Leadership Group Events for 2008. On April 26th, Saturday, two events will take place at the Every Nation building in Fort Bonifacio.
In the morning from 9 to 12 will be a newly fomatted marriage seminar entitled "Moving from Me to We". This short series of 4 sessions is designed to give a fresh perspective on married life.
There are limited seats left. Designed to help small group leaders find a venue to invite family and friends to a church event that will allow them to have a glimpse of God's Word and how it applies to practical daily life.
The other event takes place in the afternoon of the same day - the seminar is entitled: "Hu U?" This unique event is designed for young adults who want to find purpose and destiny in life. What makes the seminar unique is that it consists of a single session with joint men and women followed by break up groups = one of all men and the other of all women.
Break out sessions will feature other young adults in an interview panel. The panels will be composed of men and women in each break away session. Can't wait to see how much fun this is going to be. Unfortunately for those events there are limited seats only. Please connect to the Victory Fort's Multiply site if you want more info.
And yes, Robert and I will be there! Hope to see you!

Pop Noggins
We did something really funny on our trip to Enchanted Kingdom.
There was this booth inside the park called Pop Noggins. They record your heads on video (for a group of about 2 to 6 people) moving to a pre-chosen song. Then your heads are inserted in a video that has animated, dancing bodies.
The key here is to move and bob your head to the music. I think I moved too much though.
Watch the video below for about a minute's worth of goofyness.

My New Canon PowerShot G9
I am so happy because I have been wanting this since August of 2007! My dad went to Hong Kong last week and he said he will get me one and we will split the cost.
When I found out my dad went out and got one, I seriously went to my room and prayed "God, I hope my dad changes his mind on splitting the cost because I have no money to pay for it." Because both God and my dad are awesome, my dad gave me the camera and said it's his gift for me!
I was so happy I just kept shouting "Thank you thank you thank you!"
What I love about the Canon PowerShot G9 is that it fits my current photography needs perfectly. I am not ready to take on an SLR and fully maximize its features (not to mention it is too bulky for me to use everyday) but I also find the standard point-and-shoot models a little too elementary.
The Canon PowerShot G9 is certainly one of the best compact cameras on the market that meets my in-between SLR and P&S camera needs. It is a very good creative tool for a consumer such as myself who thinks pretty much every moment should be immortalized in photographs. It gives me a an amazing number of creative options for good image production.
Haven't taken much photos yet but here are the first pictures I took with the camera while familiarizing myself with the manual.
They are nothing to brag about at this point. If any of you out there can point me to sites with great G9 tips and tricks, please let me know :-)

Inspirational Song Week on American Idol
Haven't watched American Idol on TV in maybe three weeks. Didn't feel there was anything exciting to watch out for.
I just browse through video clips on rickey.org for a quick recap and that would usually do it for me.
Found out that this week's theme is Inspirational Song Week. I might actually make time to watch this episode.
Can someone PLEASE sing Michael Jackson's "Man In The Mirror?" Ahem, David, hope you realize this is the perfect song for you!

They Are So Back
First time was a good time, second time was a blast!! Sorry I can't help it.
Today, New Kids On The Block release their first group photo in 15 years. I must admit, I am VERY impressed on how they aged so well.
They look great. Joey Joe is still the hottest in my book.
What about you? Who do you think got better looking as he got older?

Elliott Yamin's Mom Passes Away
Before I went to bed last night, I read in People.com that Mama Claudette, the mom of my favorite American Idol contestant EVER -- Elliott Yamin -- passed away.
I am sad. I feel like I know her. Elliott, we are praying for you and your Mom.
Below is Elliott's elimination from American Idol where you can see Mama Claudette.
