This song gives me and Robert great memories of a recent trip in Laguna Beach, California. When this is played, we look knowingly at each other and we are instantly reminded of the great time we had there.
Hope you enjoy this music video of 'Party Life' by our good friend QUEST. We are so proud of him!
I think Treb Monteras II did a great job directing. He has come a long way from the video he directed back in 2006 of the song 'Wherever You Are' by South Border .
If you look hard and close enough at 4:33, you will see a little cameo by Robert walking through the hospital halls holding a bunch of balloons. Blink and you will definitely miss it!
We've had some fun, and yes we've had our ups and downs
Been down that rocky road, but here we are, still around
We thought about someone else, but neither one took the bait
We thought about breaking up, but now we know it's much too late
We are bound by all the rest
Like the same phone number
All the same friends
And the same address
Yes, it's true, (yes it's true) I am happy to be stuck with you
Yes, it's true, (yes it's true) I'm so happy to be stuck with you
'Cause I can see, (I can see) that you're happy to be stuck with me
We've had our doubts, we never took them seriously
And we've had our ins and outs, but that's the way it's supposed to be
We thought about giving up, but we could never stay away
Thought about breaking up, but now we know it's much too late
And it's no great mystery
If we change our minds
Eventually, it's back to you and me
Yes, it's true, (yes it's true) I am happy to be stuck with you
Yes, it's true, (yes it's true) I'm so happy to be stuck with you
'Cause I can see, (I can see) that you're happy to be stuck with me
We are bound by all the rest
Like the same phone number
All the same friends
And the same address
Yes, it's true, (yes it's true) I am happy to be stuck with you
Yes, it's true, (yes it's true) I'm so happy to be stuck with you
'Cause I can see, (I can see) that you're happy to be stuck with me
Yes its true (yes it's true) I'm so happy to be stuck with you
I'm happy to be stuck with you
Happy to be stuck with you.
I have been wanting to start this series and finally I get to start it today! I wanted to share with you every so often the songs that make me happy. It just makes perfect sense because happiness is what this blog is all about.
Not a lot of you know that I really love country music. I am not hard core but I do have a decent country playlist in my iPod.
Today, one song that makes me think of the glorious summer months is Faith Hill's Sunshine and Summertime.
The lyric goes like this.
We’ve got bare foot ladies
and tricked out Mercedes
People getting crazy on the boulevard
We’ve got classic colas
and ice cold corona’s
and big pool parties in the back yard
I said:
“Heyyyyy, that’s the way we do it”
new friends and blue skies that never end.
“Heyyyyy, that’s the way we like it”
Good times, sunshine and summertime.
You’ll see straw sombreros
and t-top Camaros
Stereo’s blasting in the parking lot.
You’ll see rock hard bodies
and bikini hotties
and everybody’s got it goin’ on,
and showing what they got.
“Heyyyyy, that’s the way we do it.”
New friends and blue skies that never end.
“Heyyyyy that’s the way we like it”
Good times, sunshine and summertime.
I said.
“Hey everybody, can’t you feel the rhythm now?”
“Hey everybody, don’t you want to party?”
“Hey everybody, can’t you feel the rhythm now?”
“Hey everybody, don’t you want to party?”
“Heyyyyy, that’s the way we do it”
new friends and blue skies that never end.
“Heyyyyyy that’s the way we like it”
Good times, sunshine and summertime.
“Heyyyyy, that’s the way we do it”
new friends and blue skies that never end.
“Heyyyyyy that’s the way we like it”
Good times, sunshine and summertime.
Good times, sunshine and summertime
Good times, sunshine and summertime
Listen to the song and I hope it puts a smile on your face today!
