Top Ten Workout Songs

Here are mine:

1) Life is a Highway by Rascal Flatts

"Life is a highway, I wanna ride it all night long..."

(I also like the original Tom Cochran version)

2) Jessie's Girl by Rick Springfield

"You know, I wish that I had Jessie's girl..."

3) Eye of the Tiger by Survivor

"It's the eye of the tiger, it's the cream of the fight..."

4) Boogie 2nite by Tweet

"I found a place yea, where we could boogie, boogie 2nite..."

(From the Southern Hummingbird album -- which one of the most awesome albums in every way. One of my all-time favorites. If you are looking for a Missy/Timabaland sound -- THIS IS NOT IT.)

5) Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield

"Today is where your book begins, the rest is still unwritten..."

(Pure 2000's pop from one of my favorite singers from this decade)

6) Waiting for a Star to Fall by Boy Meets Girl

"Waiting for a star to fall, and carry your heart into my arms..."

(100% cheesy 80's pop)

7) Hungry Like a Wolf by Duran Duran
"Mouth is alive all running inside, and Im hungry like a wolf..."
(It's hard NOT to run fast with lyric like these)

8) Never by Heart

"Never let them shoot us down, never, never run away..."

9) Step by Step by New Kids on the Block

"Step by step, ooh baby..."

(Does this even surprise you?)

10) Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' by Michael Jackson

"I said you wanna be startin' somethin, you got to be startin' somethin..."

(No workout is complete without classic MJ)

I gotta add:

Great for Warm-Up

Chasing Pavements by Adele "Should I give up or should I just keep chasing pavements..."
Who Am I by Casting Crowns "Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth, would care to know my name..."

Great for Cool Down

Raincoat by Kelly Sweet "I'm gonna throw out my raincoat, I hope it's all right..."

What's yours?

Hey Samantha, this top ten list is fantastic. Eye of the Tiger is one of the songs that can get me pumped to do anything, not only to workout but even to take tests! Jessie's Girl is one of my favorite songs, but it is not currently on my workout play list. You can post this to our site http://www.toptentopten.com/ and link back to your site. We are trying to create a directory for top ten lists where people can find your site. The coolest feature is you can let other people vote on the rankings of your list.
