This Is Going To Be My Next Gadget Purchase

I have been wanting one and started saving up since January. I just have so many random thoughts all throughout the day: hearing God's gentle reminders, little messages for my husband and future children, to do's and other life observations.

I also like the thought that my future children will listen through all of my voice clips when I am already in heaven. I can also save their first words when they start talking :)

Been looking at the Olympus brand and so far this is what I like: Olympus Digital Voice Recorder WS-210S

I like it because it plugs right in to the USB port and it is reasonably priced at $99.

I had the money already but decided to give my husband an iPod nano as an extra anniversary gift. His old iPod broke down and I know how much he loves his music.

Anyone of you know where I can find this in Manila?

They Are So Cute!

My friends LJ, Louise and Janelle dance to the Soulja Boy. This was taken after one of their wakeboarding Mondays. Aren't they cute?

Our First Anniversary

February 24th is our first anniversary. Happy anniversary Robert! I really really enjoyed my first year of being married to you. Thank you for always being so sweet and kind and for making me laugh everyday.

Here are pictures of our little anniversary getaway.

Victory Weekend for Women

I had a great time at Victory Weekend for Women last February 22nd and 23rd. Victory Weekend is a day and a half-long retreat at Victory Christian Fellowship that establishes foundational beliefs in Jesus Christ.

Think like it's the first day of the rest of your life. Erase every misconception you think you might have about your faith and getting to know Jesus all over again.

It's like going out on a first date with our Father and you have the chance to know everything that you need to know about Him. Chances are you will fall madly in love with Him and you will also discover how madly He loves you too.

I attended my first retreat in October 2004. I have been to 5 more after that because my female friends decide to go and it make also refreshes me like no other.

This time, one of my closest friends Jackie flew back here to Manila to attend the retreat. This is also the same weekend she made a public declaration that Jesus is now the love of her life.

My 32nd Birthday

On February 25, 2008... I am officially "wala na sa kalendaryo."

I started my day catching up on my reading. I ended up reading the entire morning.
I did this in Michelle's (one of my bestest, dearest friends) home in Tagaytay. I kept on telling Rob how much I miss her though.

Then we drove up to Pancake House because I was craving for scrambled eggs, which happens to be my favorite food. Breakfast was a blessing because when we tried to get the bill, we found out that our meal has been paid for. The nice guy who owns the restaurant happens to be members of our church.

Robert also wrote me a beautiful letter. My heart was filled with so much love.

I decided to get my hair shampooed and blown-out at a nice Korean salon. We saw a really cute Korean kid. I told Rob I wish I was cute enough to have her hair.

We decided to drive back to Manila. We stopped by Mushroomburger because Rob wanted to see how it tastes. He expected something really gross so he ended up actually liking it.

When we got home, my close friends were there surprise me! I love them so much!

And then, the sweetest surprise of all, Rob gave me a ring! I lost my engagement ring March of last year. He got a new one made.. exactly the one I lost. He gave it to me over a group game of Balderdash. I was floored.

I am so grateful to God for putting a smile on my face on my birthday. He has blessed me with great friends and family.

David Archuleta

Isn't he cute? He is the only boy in American Idol 7 that I look forward to watching.

Sta. Lucia vs. Purefoods (Game 6)

PBA All-Filipino Championship Series

Been following closely the PBA All-Filipino Finals because 2 of our best friends are playing. Kelly Williams is playing for Sta. Lucia and Noy Castillo is playing for Purefoods.

Please don't ask me who I want to win. I am just thrilled for them and their success. I get really excited when both of them are on the floor.

Tomorrow is Game 6. Sta. Lucia won 3 and Purefoods won 2.

Here are some pictures from the February 20th game.

Anniversary Lunch

Our good friends Kris and Malou Atienza took us to Pizza Hut (one of our favorite places to eat at) on the afternoon of February 23rd.

I shall include Pizza Hut's Stuffed Crust Super Supreme in my comfort food list.

Robert and I really enjoyed the pizza, the buffalo wings (which was also yummy! and totally unexpected) and the dessert.

Look at the message on the chocolate cake. Kris and Malou are so sweet!

More than the food, we really had a good time talking about lots of married life stories and random stuff.

Click here for more pictures from that afternoon.

Our First Valentine's Day as Johnson and Johnson

I like Valentine's Day because it gives me another excuse to have another date with my husband but I kinda dislike all the craziness that comes along with it.

Overcrowded restaurants. Pricey flowers. Heavy traffic -- and I mean Manila traffic. Hay naku!

But I do like buying a nice red card and pouring my heart in writing into it. I like having another excuse to spoil my husband with "I thought of you when I saw these" gifts.

I also like seeing his reaction. Robert is one of the most appreciative people I know. And I love the thought of having his undivided attention :)

I do want to share with you our first Valentine's Day and Robert is a genius for deciding to stay at home, make our place look pretty and cook. Yes, he cooked some great pasta with lots of beef! Yummm!!

He also got me my favorite comfort food: hungarian sausages from Joey Pepperoni, pizza (aww heart-shaped -- how cute and cheesy is that, but pardon the pun haha!), grape-flavored white tea, and Reese's pieces.

So, what did you guys do for Valentine's Day? Hope all of you had a lovely time!

Robert Preached at His First Sunday Service

Robert preached at his first ever Sunday service in Victory Christian Fellowship in Lipa City, Batangas.

I am sad because I was not there to witness it. But one thing I know for sure is -- I am so proud of you babe!

Pastor: For the love of God, get it on!

Interesting piece of news.

Pastor tells married couples to make time for hanky-panky every day
The Associated Press
updated 6:31 p.m. ET Feb. 19, 2008
YBOR CITY, Fla. - A southwest Florida church issued a challenge for its married members this past Sunday: Hanky-panky every day. Relevant Church head pastor Paul Wirth says the 50 percent divorce rate was the catalyst for The 30-Day Sex Challenge.

"And that's no different for people who attend church," Wirth said. "Sometimes life gets in the way. Our jobs get in the way."

Oh, and the flip side of the challenge? No rolling in the sheets for the unwed.

Church member Tim Jones and his fiancée agreed to take on the challenge, though he acknowledges it'll be a tough month. But he added: "I think it's worth trying to find out other things about each other."

Elijah Carodan's Dedication

Robert was asked by Pastor Joseph and Cel Carodan to be one of Elijah's godfathers at his dedication. He was really honored.

Pastor Joseph and Ate Cel were also principal witnesses at our wedding almost a year ago.

Elijah is so cute and he is such a big healthy boy! Got him some nice sneakers but I have a bad feeling it won't fit :(

It was also Emmanuel's 10th birthday. For more pictures, go to Rob's Multiply album.

I Want This To Be My Friday Look

What I will change:
1) Will wear a white t-shirt with short sleeves
2) Will wear leopard-print, pointed flats instead of boots

Robert will think my stuff won't match haha! Will try it out anyway.

Sebastian's Ice Cream

My favorite dessert of all time is ice cream. Even on birthdays, I would always ask my mom I want an ice cream cake instead of the plain ol' decorated big block of vanilla chiffon.

Everytime I go to The Podium, I have a hard time resisting Sebastian's Ice Cream. I love my ice cream very hard and cold (never liked soft-serve) and it has to be extra chunky.

My favorite flavor is Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Yum!
Photobucket

Second favorite is Mango Sans Rival. Here are the other flavors. The menu changes everyday.
Photobucket

The newest product is the Chilly Burger -- ice cream sandwiched between 2 cookies.

Robert is so cute in this picture. He liked it but his favorite here in Manila is still Penny Brown.

A Father's Love

This is one of the sweetest blog entries I have read in a long time. This is written by our friend Cheenee Gonzalez. Robert and I love the Gonzalez family so much! When you read this, you will know why.

The Best Date Ever With the Best Guy...............My Dad!!!!!!!!

I don't know why girls get kilig.....they don't have to......I don't have to.....'cos i'm already kilig..."huh?"-(you say)...well..I learned last October that I shouldn't get kilig with any guy...except my Dad. God wants us to see that He put the Best example..our dads. I don't know about your dad,but what I know is that; not just my dad..but every dad loves their children..and wants the Best for them...my Dad explained this to me...on the 11th of October,2007.

It was a Very Nice Day of course...'cos it was my birthday....and I was wondering:
1.Where will we eat tonight?
2.What would be my birthday present?
and 3.WHERE IS DADDY???
I asked my mom and all she said was..your dad will come..you get dressed now..he will take you out...but me and Cookie and John will not come."WHAT?!" My very Best Day without MOMMY???? I REALLY felt like crying. But there was a reason. So, when my dad arrived, the both of us looked especially Nice..but I didn't know what it was for.......

We drove and drove...and looking up at the highway signs was,"Alabang,Pasig,Cavite," but I cant remember the others...So I was REALLY surprised!!! We arrived at a place...a fancy one..(maybe that explains the clothes). All the Other Surprises began when he gave me a bundle of White Roses. He asked me,"Do you know what this means?"
"Purity,Cleanlines and Holiness?" I answered."Right..I gave this to you so you will be reminded to be Pure,Clean, and Holy."

"A BUFFET!? BUT WHY DADDY?ALL FOR ME?" I didn't understand the Meaning of this until after we ate....we talked and talked, ate dessert, and everything a date could be.
Finally, we walked near the bay(we were beside the sea,so you probably guessed this already) and he gave me a seat. Now this was the Sweetest thing he did.
He reached into his pocket, and pulled out a small case.He opened it and inside was..
a silver ring with a heart in the middle. But there was More! INSIDE the ring was an engraving saying,"True Love Waits".Now i RREEAALLYY felt like crying! He told me,
"Cheenee, let's make a covenant right here before God.Can you promise Him that you will wait for the Right Time? Can you promise to let Him show you the Right One?
Can you promise to be Pure,Clean, and Holy?" I promised. He sat beside me and put the ring on my finger. And while going home he said,"If there's somebody, who's sweeter than I am and more Godly than I am,then he's the One."

To tell you the Truth...I think there can be no one who is Sweeter than my Dad.He's the Only example. He's the only One who knows me more than anyone. He's my Dad.We have a Relationship.
I hope you know, that even if your dad doesn't treat you out,he loves you as much as my Dad loves me.I REALLY THANK GOD,the Heavenly Father, that he gave us "Daddys".

Goodbye Polaroid Instant Photos

Sniff sniff. Some of you may have heard of Polaroid's recent announcement that it will no longer produce its famous instant film.

It makes me sad because even if I find joy in my digital pictures, I get extra-warm, fuzzy feelings that only a Polaroid photo can bring.

One of the very first boys I liked gave me a Polaroid i-Zone in an avocado color. I thought it was the sweetest thing in the whole world.

On my first official fight with Robert, I gave him a book with Polaroid photo of my hand with a peace sign taped on it.

When I am trying to pull outfits together, I used to take Polaroids of myself to see if I look halfway decent.

Looking for shoes in my closet is much easier when a Polaroid photo of the shoe is taped on its box.

For my wedding, I wanted a guestbook where my guests can take Polaroid pictures of themselves. My heroic Rob searched all over Manila and got me a Joycam. Only to find out Photokina doesn't sell Polaroid films in the Philippines anymore. I was heartbroken.

If any of you see Polaroid films in your respective countries, please send me a message. Most likely I will be sending you money so you can buy me boxes. I must have Polaroids of my future children, because my baby photos were taken in those too.

Information

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.
