My Highlights of 2007 (Last of Two Parts)

Here are the rest of my 2007 highlights.

10) The one where several nations gathered for a world conference. Representatives from different countries under Every Nation family of churches gathered for a weekend celebrating our God, His love and His goodness. This is the spiritual highlight of my year!

11) The one where my good friends got baptized. Ayen, Michelle and Lynn -- girlfriends that are so close to my heart (I love them so much!) -- got baptized and let everyone know that Jesus is the LORD of their lives!

12) The one where my husband finally retired from professional basketball. He made a decision to be in full-time ministry because he knew God asked him to. I have never seen him so happier and more fulfilled! If you would like to know his story, please watch it here.

13) The one where a beautiful baby girl was born. Good friends Brandon and Tristan Cablay welcome their first child, Mailee

14) The one where our spiritual family grew. We have been blessed to have several friends who we truly consider family. They have been so awesome in keeping our walk with God full and alive! Thank you for being there for us!

15) The one with our first holidays together. First Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year as husband and wife.

Thank you to all our family, friends and loved ones for making our year such blessed one! May we all have a happy 2008!

NKOTB Throwback Video

Just to get y'all excited...

Roll Bounce

Yesterday, I caught the beginning of the movie "Roll Bounce" on Star Movies. But I had to leave and go to Sunday service. I kept on saying how much I want to see the movie end.

Today, I had to stay home the whole day because I am sick from some food I ate over the weekend. Throwing up and all other bad stuff I don't even want to write about. Robert had to go the mall to get his cell phone fixed and I suddenly remembered to text him to get me a DVD copy of the movie.

As I was typing out the text, I heard the door knob turn and I was like, "Aww too late, he is home." But because my husband is a genius and he is the most thoughtful person on earth, I find a brand new DVD copy on the dining table! Darling, you are wonderful!

We ended up watching it. All I can say is I love it! I love this movie about teenagers who grew up in the south side of Chicago in the 70's. Skating is their big thing and a lot of the scenes take place at a roller rink. There were a lot of funny moments! The soundtrack is great because it plays one of my favorite music genres -- 70's soul and disco music; and Bow Wow makes me wish he would never grow up and just stay a cute teenager forever.

Here is a clip of the movie preview.

Thank You for the Royce Chocolate!

This post is for our friend Lynn. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the Royce Chocolate!

My Meez

Someone introduced me to Meez because she thought I'd find it fun to create a 3D animated version of myself.

Here is what I came up with:
Go make one and show me yours!

Robert's Testimony

My husband, Robert, has never been happier. Please watch the video below to see how Jesus Christ changed his life.

New Kids On The Block Are Back!

This might be the best news I have heard this year. Okay, maybe not the best but I am seriously thrilled. I skipped my junior prom to watch their concert here in Manila.. can you imagine? Yes I loved them that much. I would do anything to see if their mature bones are still flexible enough to dance to "The Right Stuff." My goodness, if they do a concert, their kids might be mortified. I don't care.. I am just so excited to see them together again.

Their official website is up and running again revealing hints of a comeback. Now, check out this article from the People website. It confirms that they are getting back together. This is way much better than a Spice Girls reunion.

I have a message for you Donnie, Jordan, Joey, Jonathan and Danny: please do a concert here in Manila!

Raymond and Tammy's Wedding Video

We had a lovely time at Raymond and Tammy's wedding January 6th. Tammy is a girlfriend from high school.

We used to write each other letters when she went to Virginia as an exchange student on our senior year. Which reminds me, as far as I am concerned, old-fashioned snail mail will never get old to me.

Here is a video recap of their beautiful wedding. Watch and enjoy!

My Highlights of 2007 (First of Two Parts)

In the year 2007, so many good things have crossed my life because of the wonderful, generous God that we all have! Here is a two-part recap of my personal highlights in 2007. In random order. I have a little warning for you though. Several of them will be wedding-related because in February 2007, I married the man of my dreams. So bear with me :)

1) The one when I walked down the aisle. I vowed to look straight into my groom's eyes and only his, never take them off him until I my parents officially give me away.

2) The one when the minister says "You may now kiss the bride!"
Robert and I had a "no kissing" covenant with our Father when we got engaged. It was not the easiest thing to do but I am glad we waited. And yes, it was so worth it!

3) The one when one of my best friends made my wedding dress.
Jo used to doodle dress designs in my notebook back in high school. The designs get more creative during math class when we couldn't be bothered by x and y integers. It is so crazy to think that 15 years later, he made a dress so beautiful beyond my imagination. More on this story in a future blog.

4) The one where we exchanged vows.
We both wrote our vows the morning of our wedding day. We have these words framed in our home to remind us of our promises to each other.

5) The one where our good friends got married.
Mike and Kay. Mon and Manina. Jonas and Avie. Kris and Malou. Joel and Maureen. Jed and Irma. Beautiful weddings. Beautiful couples.

6) The one with all the bridal showers.
I am so blessed to have been thrown all these lovely, fun bridal showers. My friends and family are such wonderful people!

7) The one where our parents hang out.
We spent one afternoon talking, eating, and laughing. Wish we can do this a lot more :(

8) The one with our honeymoon.
It was ten months late but it was wonderful, happy and refreshing! We can never get enough of Boracay.

9) The one where we went to Hong Kong.
Robert's first. Did the whole tour thing and the shopping thing and loved every minute of it!

Second part coming up soon! :) Happy new year!

2007: It Was A Good Year!

I am excited to kick off a series of blogs for 2008! God has been kind and generous. Here is a nice, little photo slideshow that recaps our very, very busy but happy 2007.

Watch out for "My Highlights of 2007" sometime this week!
